This is Joadja’s first true “Paddock to Bottle Double Wood” having used their first Joadja barley crop to produce the “New Make Spirit” (Joadja is one of very few Paddock to Bottle distilleries in the world).
It’s their very first oloroso sherry cask whisky finished in bourbon casks. 10 x 32 litre -ex Oloroso sherry casks were aged for 18 months and then married together and finished in 3 bourbon casks for an additional 6 months.

The current distillery iteration, and head distiller Valero Ximenez, have become known for their top quality, Spanish ex-sherry casks. They have also planted barley on site to offer paddock-to-bottle whiskies, one of only a handful of whisky distilleries in the world to do so.
